Carpet

The carpet selection can be completed during the colour selections appointment but we thought we would get it done separately for 2 reasons.

1. More selection of carpets and floorboards in Sydney
2. Frees up more time for the colour selection appointment

The carpet that is included in this appointment is really bad. Expect to pay more during this appointment. Thankfully, I didn’t feel like I was getting ripped off here unlike the tiles appointment. Below is our final choice next to the floor tile we will have in the house. Appointment took 30 minutes.

We were keen to get a good quality carpet. The fluffy carpet is nice and really comfortable but is a pain to maintain and shows dirt easily. Cost of variation $3000. (http://www.tuftmastercarpets.com.au/coronet-bay#.V9S17ph95aR)

UPDATE: Living in the house now and carpet is installed. Would you believe the carpet isn’t scotchgaurd protected (or equivalent) which means when water is split on carpet it seeps in straight away. Other carpet we had kept water on the surface. Also, we got the better underlay but it is seriously lumpy in parts. Hoping over time the lumps will go.
